Inspired by drachin8's post along these lines, I thought I'd make a list of the best books I read in 2009. I read a lot last year thanks to studying for comps and doing research for my dissertation (in addition to just wanting to read, of course) and posted reviews of some of them here and probably even more on my goodreads pageHere, in the order in which

Hey, if it's not too much to ask, were any of your 4 and 5 star books published in 2009 (and thus eligible for the Campbell)?

The only one of the books I read last year that was actually published in 2009 appears to be Audrey Niffenegger's Her Fearful Symmetry. I gave it four stars, but it was more like a between-three-and-four rating that got rounded up.

Also, I haven't read this yet (though I've read a portion of it and really liked it), but Robert Charles Wilson's new novel Julian Comstock looks great. I think that was published in 2009.
