I really liked the way Movie Notes worked in the past, as a sort of mini-review with looser guidelines that all friends can see. This new direction of changing a Movie Note into something more like a Myspace message doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Random, but I've been considering at least trying out Blockbuster's service to see how it stacks up, since I think they do the free trial thing too. I think it's the whole 'you can switch out your vids at the store' thing that'a appealing to me. Of course, I have to get my dvd burner fixed/replaced before I do that because right now it is stuck in non functioningland and wtf @ that?

I completely agree that the ability to check out movies and put them in the queue without screwing up my browsing progress is a GREAT improvement to an already good site.

Since I'm really lazy and haven't left a lot of Movie Notes, I'll take your word for it on the less-than-desirable changes made there. Hopefully they will return to the previous format.
