Dear Netflix,
I really liked the way Movie Notes worked in the past, as a sort of mini-review with looser guidelines that all friends can see. This new direction of changing a Movie Note into something more like a Myspace message doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I suppose it adds a certain degree of audience filtering, but most of the time when I want to leave a note on a movie (1) it isn't intended for specific people, (2) it isn't a formal review, and (3) it is something that I want to share with future friends as well! Please consider bringing back some of this functionality that was lost in the recent upgrade.

PS, I really like a lot of the other enhancements that we have been seeing on the site, especially the ajax work so that we can inspect and enqueue movies without interrupting a browsing session, and also the fancy queue view on the friends page. And of course the service has been very dependable, thanks again.
