I'm sure he wouldn't have any objections to being your father if you asked. [That was one thing she noticed ever since Sophie arrived, how protective Asbel is of her, and how much he doted on her.

Yet that last question...] ... Do you want me to be your mother, Sophie?

So if I ask, he will? [ She thinks about that. It was nice having him as a father - it felt nice.

Really? [ A pause. ] Will everyone stay my family?

[ She pauses, considers how she felt during that time. It was a good feeling, one that she can't very well describe, but she liked it.

And she speaks quietly, almost with a bit of hesitation, maybe. ] ... Yeah.
