You could always go with Kageno Hibiki. (Shadow-Field Echo). If nothing else, keep Hibiki. I have always liked that name.
Though if you want an interesting dynamic that would also lead to a reason why they do not always get along. They are half-siblings. And if they are half-siblings that are nearly the same age, that means that the father was the one who was unfaithful and...well, you can easily come up with excuses from there such as the awkwardness at times and yet the creepy similarities as well while still not looking too much like each other. They just take after their mothers and there was a bad past...
Me too, I was pleased to find it was a one-kanji name, since I wanted to keep that aspect with Ai.
I'm thinking of Akubana, actually, since it means "empty flower", which is nice and dramatic, and I got it from Aqua Tofana, a poison concoction made by a famous poison murdeeress, lol. Aku - The Aqu from Aqua, Bana - the fana from Tofana but changed to a B because that is how Japanese consonants work after o and u. I felt it was fitting considering her past and how she made her first name, heh heh.
And that is actually an interesting dynamic. I will certainly consider it, as it will clear up a lot of things.
It is. ): And by half and half I assume you mean half-Japanese, half-British? Yeah, kinda hard to swing Haibara any other way, especially since it's canonically mentioned that she has a hard time fitting in because of her Western features.
