I don't do a full run-down of everything said during the panels, just the highlights of what seemed most useful to me and thoughts they sparked. Panels in this post: Ask a Pro; Write Here!; The Obligatory Workshop Panel; and The Rules: Use or Abuse Them.

Nice to hear from one of our five(ish) audience members! I was surprised it was all Clarion panelists as well. I know if it were me, I'd try to compose a panel with a broader spectrum of workshop experience.

I enjoyed being on this panel. I thought I had a fair amount to say about Clarion and workshops in general, but apparently I have quite a lot to say and I love answering questions about it. And it's always interesting to hear about other people's experiences.

I learned at Wiscon that Clarion West gets a chef. Somehow I hadn't known about that before.

I was surprised by the small size of the audience, but it was scheduled opposite the GoH reading, right? And I thought it was a useful panel, so hopefully this way more people will be able to benefit by it.

Food is only a distraction. ;)

Master Writing Class anonymous June 2 2009, 02:10:49 UTC
Hi, just thought I would clear up something. Kristine Kathryn Rusch, Christina York, Loren L. Coleman, John Douglas, Ginjer Buchanan and I teach the master class. It's two weeks long and very intense and only for writers who are beyond the Clarion level and starting to sell. Many also call it a boot camp for writers. Kris and I also do a weekend workshop every so often called The Writing Career where we cover everything in two days. That's for everyone. Thanks for the mention.
Cheers

Thanks! The panel couldn't remember exactly what the details of it were. I've amended the post.
