So the fire in Santa Barbara hasn't really moved in about a day. They've revised the acreage burned estimate to 1800 acres, and established that 111 residences were destroyed and nine more were damaged. The yoga instructor at work is the only person I know who for sure lost her home, though I think my landlords might have lost theirs as well, and

I perpetuated an escape also by seeing Bond (though for me it was an escape more from the Palos Verdes fire) - good action flick!

Yep. I rarely go see movies in the afternoon, but it was warm enough that I was totally willing to see Bond mid-day if it meant access to A/C.
