Update: The sooner we get each set into the library, the more people can check it out before the premiere. Let's keep our momentum!
Hey Guys! We're starting a new wave of DVD donations, and could use some volunteers. We are now going to be targeting markets that did not have UPN, but will have the CW (Updated with new cities: Volunteers Needed ( Read more... )

I'm planning to make a Target run tomorrow as I have a meeting in an hour and I don't know how late the library is open - especially since I'm hoping to catch the contact while she is still there.

Should I print off the postcard thank you / info stuff? Was there a link for those around here somewhere?

Also, I'm free pretty much all day tomorrow (minus the aforementioned delivering), so if there's anywhere that still needs to be called (I'm not sure if the list above is up to date or not), give me 2 or 3, and I'll see what I can find out. If there's anything in particular that I need to ask or mention (other than Veronica Mars rocks and they CLEARLY want to stock some copies ;-), just let me know!

Sounds great. You can find the postcards here (scroll down for final versions/pdf links):

If you don't have a good printer or cardstock to print on, just let me know, and we will send one centrally. If you are able to print them out, though, we think it has a better impact to be delivered with the DVDs. I will probably take you up on a few phone calls, if you don't mind. I'll wait and see what I've heard back from people today and let you know.

Sounds good. I actually don't have a color printer, but since the group is going to be reimbursing the money that I would have spent buying the DVD's, I think I can swing by the copy place across the street and get them printed off.

But, yeah, just let me know which libraries you need me to call (and a contact person if you have one) and I'll see what I can do!

Des Moines has had 2 DVD's donated as of this afternoon. I included both postcards, which were a bitch to attempt to print since I don't know how anything works at Kinko's. But it got worked out, so all is well.

Is the list up to date? If not I will contact Tri-Cities TN-VA, El Paso, and Youngstown, basically the first three places needing a contact volunteer. Molly, could you let me know if these still need to be done or if there is somewhere else I can contact to help out.

I thought it was up to date, but I totally missed Tri-Cities. I confirmed both those libraries, and they will accept the sets. If you could just move on down the list to make Corpus Christi your 3rd, that would be great.

Yuma, AZ will not accept TV DVDs into their collection. Santa Barbara should have answer for me on Monday. I'll let you know.

You can always try the county library system: http://www.scld.org/

Thanks! I'll look into it!

Ok, so as I said before, the county library system is useless (they don't accept TV DVDS) but I'm looking into the Pullman city library and the Washington State libraries to see if I can get anywhere with that... I've also been mildly successful with the college libraries in the area...
