pad length, flow and anatomy

A friend and I were talking about pad lengths, and she was under the impression that I needed a looooong pad because of my rather ample bottom (no, she didn't say I had a fat a$$ it was put nicely)... and I told her that it seemed not to be just because of that, since my whisp of a sister (she's quite small) also has leakage issues, as does my mum ( Read more... )

With me you can't see any of the labia minora, and even when spread open I don't have a lot of it to begin with. My mom is the same way. And I bleed straight down, sometimes further up toward the top of the pad. I rarely bleed off the sides or toward the back.

I look like this too, and often have problems with tight clothing as I'm not so protected. I bleed towards the front but do have channeling problems at night as I often sleep on my back

Well, I have a lot of labia action going on, and tend to be a front bleeder (can get very messy, thank God in Her wisdom for the Lunette) and back too, at night, so if I go without the cup I really need a LOOONG pad. :o)

My flow goes down and also to the front, especially if I am sitting. It rarely goes towards the back unless I am laying on my back of course. I don't normally sleep on my back either so problems with leakage are minimal, but when I do leak that's the way it goes. Sometimes in my sleep I just end up on my back for too long and it happens!
My external labia is mostly closed.
