Sounds like it's really, truly been a great year for you! If this is prying someplace I shouldn't go, don't answer this, but how's Alyssa? I've been spending time with her friend from school that's in New York and she mentioned that she's had some rough stuff going on--is she okay???
Alyssa had a big surgery that didn't go as well as they'd hoped it would and she was in the hospital for nearly a week, and had a tube in her back to drain stuff for a while after, it was not happy. Her family is also full of drama, but I don't think the details are relevant.
