Spring Fling 2010: Love Imperfect
Spring Fling!
Winter has left us, and the magic of spring has come over Clark and Lex. So get your ribbons together and get ready to dance around Clark's Maypole and go nuts.
Ahem.
This year’s theme is “love imperfect.” One of the wonderful things about the Clex relationship is its resiliency. Yes, things go wrong. Maybe they even go horribly, apocalyptically wrong. But in the end they’re together, and perhaps stronger than ever.
The following prompts propose a situation where something goes wrong, the opposite of romance happens, or a romantic cliche falls flat. Your mission is to work with the imperfection and push through to the happy ending.
Rules
1. All works must be Clex-centric and have a reasonably happy ending.
2. Comment here if you intend to participate by April 10th. We will put your name by the prompt you wish to write.
3. Post your fic/vid/art to this community by May 31st.
4. All entries should be posted to this community so they can be archived for future members. (You can certainly flock them if you want to keep your fannish activities private from rl.)
5. Length: 1000 words and up for fics.
6. Finished works only, please.
7. Include warnings for rape, abuse, incest, or death. Anything you think might trigger. Thanks.

3. There’s a love potion, and it has an unexpected effect on a Kryptonian! (Does not make him fall in love.)
4. Love at first sight isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
5. During a fight, one shuts the other up up with a hot, passionate kiss... and it really pisses him off! tasabian
6. Opposites apparently don’t attract. Clark and Lex annoy each other with their differences deliberately.
7. Clark is The Handsome Male Lead chasing after The Attractive Female Lead (insert character of your choice), but somehow he ends up with TAFL’s Gay Best Friend, Lex! sue_dreams
8. A romantic seven-course dinner at Metropolis’ finest restaurant ends in food poisoning instead of intimacy.
9. Lex’s attempt to set up a romantic evening results in Clark having to save him. tallihensia
10. One rushes to the other’s wedding to stop it... but fails.
11. Clark and Lex aren’t able to reach orgasm simultaneously. Hell, sometimes the sex isn’t very good at all. Time to work something out.
12. Superman and Lex Luthor are ordered by the city to go to couple’s counseling. twilighthdfan
13. Lex doesn’t necessarily appreciate Superman’s fawning/flirting fans, and he lets the world know it. nightshadow_t2
