So. There's this SPN meme going around. You may have seen it? I barely update anymore, and I stopped doing reaction posts for SPN a while back, so it occurred to me that people might thing I'm not utterly head-over-heels in love with it anymore.

( BUT THAT IS NOT TRUE BECAUSE I TALKED FOR 1,600 WORDS UNDER THIS CUT FOR THIS DAMN MEME. )

Wheeeeeeeee!

I've been reading these, and i seem to be in a minority. I hated Gabriel as the Trickster *and* as himself. He *annoyed* me. Much like Ruby and her 'i know stuff you don't know! and it's important! and i won't tell you!!' snark-schtick annoyed me.

I want to do this meme but i don't remember episode titles at all at all and it would take so much research and i'd get all sidetracked and omg, remember the music, too, i am just pants at that!! Maybe i'll just rewatch. Everything.

I've always loved Tricksters, way back to when I heard stories about them in class when I was little, so when we got one on Show I flailed so hard it was ridiculous.

You could always just use the Super!Wiki for the episode titles! I used it to try and pick my favorites from each season and it totally helped.

It was down for a while and i was bereft! Very bereft.

I guess...i've always had issues with characters that have tons of power and mostly use it to fuck with people who have no way of fighting back. It just...doesn't sit well with me. Gabe's 'lesson' to Sam, making him watch Dean die for months, and then making him be dead for months? Painful, horrifying, and ultimately pointless. He had so much power he could have actually stepped up and told Sam not to kill Lilth, not to drink the blood, whatever, but instead he fucks with his head.

Just...bleh. Never has that kind of character been one i enjoy. One that has a little empathy with that much power - or has some kind of motive other than 'i like to fuck with you' isn't so bad.

*cough* Sorry. I have ISSUES.

ALL THE REWATCHES. I need to get on that. :)

Yeah, they moved to a new server that could handle all of their awesome without breaking as much as the last one did.

See, the thing I've always loved about Trickster characters is how they're so chaotic neutral. They're kind of like 4Chan: might send you free pizzas, might slash your tires. They try to teach you a lesson but don't really care if you lose an arm or everything you value in the process.

That being said, I totally understand what you mean, and what you said is why I can't ship Sam/Gabriel or understand it as a ship.
