spnstoryfinders has become basically a place where readers who are too lazy to actually look for anything themselves to just say "hey I want to read X. Go find some stories about it for me." You want codas for Fresh Blood? The episode aired less than two weeks ago, shouldn't be too hard to find some yourself. You want stories about Dean turning into a mermaid while Sam has amnesia and John fucks Spike from Buffy because you're craving mermaid fic and no one writes Sam with amnesia and crossover fic would be totally hot, write it yourself. It's really getting annoying how increadibly specific the story requests have become, when people are rarely ever even looking for specific stories anymore. People just keep posting with detailed story themes they'd like to see, and it's getting really damn annoying.

YES! It's not even a "Lost Fic" comm anymore, it's a "Hey, I really wanna see" comm.

Every once in a while I think to myself that I'm going to make a Storyfinders comm for this fandom THAT IS FOR ACTUAL LOST STORIES. And then I get lazy and forget about it. Watch me though, I'll get bored and make one soon.

I joined the comm a long time ago, back when people were still requesting actual fics. Not, "OMG, You guyz I just found out I has the asthma. Are there any fics where the boys do too??????"

The comm creeps me out most of the time.
