The sewing circle would be meeting in the study, which was the first door on one's left off the foyer. There was a moddable selection of light refreshments and beverages, and Miss Bennet would be quite willing to play hostess should one require anything which is not found within.

Well. Barefoot was certainly not how she'd intended to come to this event. Nor, for that matter, was it how she'd left the dorms. Inara sincerely hoped the harpy that had tried attacking her now had a shoe-shaped bruise somewhere on her body, but couldn't be positive.

The blood on her favorite embroidery scissors, however, meant she'd done more than a little damage.

She reached for a napkin and began rubbing along the blade.

"Forgive my forwardness, but are you all right?" Miss Bennet asked, frowning slightly. "I did consider canceling this evening's gathering, as it might prove hazardous to the guests to arrive, but I had no notion of how to say so on such short notice."

"Oh, yes, I'm fine," Inara said, dropping her now mostly-clean scissors into her bag and smoothing back her hair. "I think most of us are used to these sorts of things by now, don't you?"

"Thank you very much for doing this," she said. "I've been thinking that I needed to get out more, and this was the perfect opportunity."

Terribly informal. One puts one's sewing materials on one's lap, and one sews. One also gossips, heavily.

After chasing off one rather large group of harpies, Linz plopped herself in a chair only to find some... needles and thread.

"Yeah. I'm not sure where any of this goes," she admitted.

"Start at the beginning," Lizzy said, sitting next to her friend and holding out her own needlework. "First, we thread the needle, which for very small needles is an exercise in vexation."
