making scones
I'm leaving soon for a High Tea party and I offered to make scones. Have I ever made them before? of course not. but I have a hand.
I have oranges and dried cranberries in the house, so I used this recipe:

And finally, a necklace
Actually, there are two necklaces, but they are related, and can be worn alone or together.
I prefer to put a necklace over my head, which makes it about 24 or 25 inches long, doesn't have a clasp, and in this case I was able to hide the crimp bead completely under one of the larger square blue beads.

more of my jewelry
the main bead is a hand-made by a glass worker. The little purple beads are slightly irridescent, but simple druks. I fashioned the ear wire from the silver/copper wire (sometimes called German silver). and I used silver beads on either end of the focal that have squared surfaces, just for contrast.

At long last, pictures of my recent jewelry making
here we go. I'm going ot post thumbnails, and the pictures are large, but they show the details.
I strung 2 bracelets on elastic cord. the red one has silver beads spaced around it, and the red beads have a silver lining.
