go down to the leasing office and ask for the number to their "corporate" office or whoever is above them so that you can explain the situation to their supervisor. that usually gets people to do what you want. or keep checking in on them. if that doesn't work, see if they can pro-rate your rent for july, meaning that if you're only going to be in the apartment for three days, that's all they'll charge you for.
