Daniel's so stubborn -- it would take Vala 5 years to train her husband to admit that. (Especially when "giving up" means "getting some".) ;D

Oh, of course it was a date. But very like Daniel not to admit for years that it was.

As an unimportant side note, that quote at the beginning of the fic is one of my favorites from the series.
