First: I am somehow the subject of writertracy's Author Spotlight this week! Also, in lieu of publicity headshots (I have none), I let her choose any of the Secret Life pictures she wanted. Obviously, this involved ponies.

Awwww, James Van Der Beek. I have to say, I've had a soft spot for him ever since he hosted SNL and played the eager new cast member in a sketch about the musical Cats.

I was quite sad about Postlethwaite, he's one of those actors who seems to be in a surprising number of things all over the board. Sort of like a lesser-known Michael Caine...

Oh yes, and Tintin fills me with a very hopeful kind of glee. I have a serious soft-spot for the books and have read them all multiple times.

This is also a book I have ordered, so I can read it before you can't get any copies that aren't movie tie-ins.

Oh crap! Thank you for reminding me.

I just can't bring myself to get worked up for either A Game of Thrones or Camelot, even though they're both the kind of thing that's usually right up my alley. I'm happy so see fantasy projects with decent casts and budgets, but, eh.

James Van Der Beek has always been sort of stealthily awesome. James Franco, however, must be stopped.

I saw the headline about him wanting to adapt those things and just went "he would".

Just finished reading it... its pretty gritty, but good... It'll be interesting to see how it translates to the screen.
