In the book, when Edward decides to break up with Bella and leave town, he also sneaks into her room and hides her photos of him so that she'll have no reminders at all that he existed - a complete and total abandonment. (Can you imagine a world without pictures of RPattz? It would be horrible, indeed.) In the film, we see him in her room, but there's no messing with photographs, which would have been an unnecessary minor plot point anyway.

What?

WAT?

I thought I already played HTTN with the recaps. You're such a sparklec*ck, Edward.

It's crazy how much it's jumped. At this rate, Eclipse or even Breaking Dawn (aaah) will hold the record.:/

I'm hoping by then the HP crowd will be getting on it for both DH. No matter how fanatic the Twihards are, and no matter how much the press wants to brainwash people into thinking Twilight is the biggest phenomenon ever, HP has a more established fanbase of loonies worldwide than Twilight.

I don't know what upsets me more, my own lameless for caring so much (the last two Twilights upstaging my HP? Aaaargh, etc.), or the fact that the press has been bandying Twilight's sales figures about like it'll make the facts go away. Twilight is a phenomenon. Yes. It is not, nor is it on the way to being (globally) as big as HP (and probably others--considering inflation, isn't Gone With the Wind still the biggest grossing film ever?). Half-Blood Prince alone has made almost a billion in theatres. [/rant]

BEHOLD THE MIGHTY PURCHASING POWER OF THE TEENAGE GIRL'S ALLOWANCE. Somewhere, Stephenie Meyer is laughing an evil laugh, and maybe stroking a large, fluffy white cat.

ALSO: Portrait of the Artist as a Young Opium-Eater by grrliz, an historical look at RPattz during the pre-Twilight years.

Only it's not just teen girls, not by a longshot. I'd like to see the demo breakdown of the audience because I'm guessing at least half of the attendees were middle-aged women. BEHOLD THE MIGHTY PURCHASING POWER OF A MATURE WOMAN WITH A CREDIT CARD.

Well, yeah, at least half were totally TwiMoms. But the ones seeing it 5 or 6 times within a 48 hour period? I really hope those were just the squealing teens. DON'T FURTHER SHATTER MY ALREADY EXTREMELY FRAGILE AND MINUSCULE FAITH IN HUMANITY OKAY.

I just read Portrait of the Artist as a Young Opium-Eater and XD. RPattz is a huge part of why I've been so riveted by Twilight. I've never seen anyone that famous who's that hilariously goofy.

Same thing I've always said about Harry Potter. Once these Twilight movies are finished and now that the book series is finished people can finally move on to something else. I know part of the reason that I want the last HP movie out of the way is to shut the Harry/Hermione shippers up.

So once the movies for Twilight are over then they can begin the process of being yesterday's news.

Re: Are they still shipping? bluejeanbaby November 22 2009, 20:30:19 UTC
We just need to get the last of the HP movies out of the way in the case of Harry/Hermione because the shippers are convinced that the end of the movies are going to differ from the books and Harry/Hermione will be together. Because they think that "after all other famous book series have had their stories changed in the movie versions".

I can't figure out if I'm a Snape girl or just a Alan Rickman girl. Sense and Sensibility is my favorite movie.

The way I think about Twilight is that the source material is set in stone. The entirety of the story is finished in book series. All the source material from which the movie's are made is finished. So to will people's interest in it will be once the movies are done. It's like I thought I'd never get tired of X-Files and then you realize it's over and there's nothing more to say and you start getting bored of the same old set in stone dialogue and etc. It might take a while to realize there is nothing new to say about Twilight but the time will come.
