And as for being too late for things: well, fuck that jive. You're thirty, you're still young, and even if you can't be a child prodigy, as long as you're having fun and being happy, then what does that matter?

(Sometimes I think that it might be too late for so many of the things I wanted to accomplish, even though I'm only thirty. To late to catch a trend, too late to be a child prodigy, too late for young love. Well, if that's the case--fuck it, I might as well just have fun, right?)

True. There's this feeling that if you don't do everything, and better, bigger, and faster than everybody else, you haven't done anything at all.

Which is exactly as crazy as it sounds, and as difficult to keep out of your mind.

I think they're playing on the word "companion" which in the show was Morena's occupation (a high class call girl was called a "companion.")

But I really loved Wash as well!
