Ooh, lots of nice, mockworthy material in this linkspam!

"And now he wants to see her again."

Has a trailer tagline ever been more riveting?

You think you're frustrated? Try the actresses who have to wait until you, Scarlett Johansson, and Keira Knightley turn down all the parts.

With all respect to these two actors' need to work, and no offense to their fans, but if you don't care for Keira Knightley one of them, a whole lotta films that would otherwise have me at the theatre opening day are sadly not on my viewing card.

I was struck by Knightley's quote (talking to the director of a modern-setting film she hoped to be in) that she might have to spend the next ten years working in a corset.

For a while there, Gwynnie Paltrow was in every. single. film that looked at all interesting to me. Since I want to kick her in the teeth in most films, I went to a lot fewer films. Then, when some friends dragged me to see Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, I remembered why I stopped going to movies in which she starred.
