I was pulling for Crash, so I'm good. Sorry, Brokeback fans.

Don't feel like Tigger, cause you're not the only one. I thought Crash was a great movie too.

I just jumped on the Net after reading A BOOK.

Thank you, Larry McMurtry. Please, everyone, think of him the next time you hear rude jokes about Texans, for he is most like the Houstonians, Austenites and Dallasites I know: he book lovers who wear jeans to the opera.

Seeing Larry McMurtry was such a hoot. The jeans. The book-pushing. That and the fact that the song that won best song actually had something to do with the movie were the best parts of the night.

Well, and the 2 seconds of Russell.

Don't forget San Antonio. You're completely right about Austin and some others having to put up with the ignorant sterotype legacy.

I don't have friends in San Antonio and haven't visited there yet, but I shall add it to the "for your consideration" when the Texas stereotype pops up.

Defamer expresses my feelings on the subject rather well.

You should see my Flist.

I kind of want to step up and ASK them if they've at least seen Crash, as a way of comparing it with Brokeback Mountain so their opinion has some reasoning behind it apart from "ZOMG GAY AND DOOMED LOVE STORY JUST LIKE MY OWN LOVE LIFE". I kind of want to do it, but I won't, since drama is just as enjoyable from the sidelines.

i saw Crash and Brokeback Mountain and i don't think either of them deserved Best Picture, honestly.

I didn't mean to put everyone in the same situation.

To be honest, I thought Good Night and Good Luck should have won. It's just that I hate it whenever some people bash something they know nothing about!

oh, i didn't think you were. i know how you feel. a lot of people are bashing it and they haven't seen it. the people who wanted Brokeback Mountain to win just cause it was full a freakin' slash fest irritate me, too.

and Goodnight, and Good Luck should have won. i don't remember the last time i was so blown away by a movie. i think David Strathairn might be the most underrated actor in Hollywood now. also, i was never a George Clooney fan until i saw that movie and that man now owns me(and shares custody with Jon Stewart).
