I feel weird leaving a top-level comment on my own journal, but--guys, I think I just figured out how Georgia could have gotten all the way from Delaware to Will's house.

Will has a really big car--I don't remember the model, but there was plenty of room behind the back seat for Winston, IIRC.

He lost 2-3 hours of time out there at the Terror House.

There was plenty of time for Georgia to hide in the back.

She rode back to Wolf Trap with him.

Oh god, I was thinking the hand pulling you under the bed thing reminded me of urban legends already (a combination of "Creepy murderer under the car in a crowded parking lot" and "person in house alone with dog, hears something, puts hand down side of bed and gets licked, assuring them it's the dog when really it's the killer", I think,) but that just brings in another. Gah!

Considering that Will has dogs, it's a shame they didn't work that one in.

Excuse me while I hide under my own bed and never come out again.

(Now if we can just crack Hannibal and Abigail's teleportation abilities...)

It's an older model Volvo (the XC70 if my Google-fu is accurate), and, yeah... Lots of space in the trunk. D: D: D:

I remember because I thought it was a nice touch to have Will Graham driving a Volvo. I always appreciate when shows don't give their lead characters distinctive cars.

Cars on TV are so often 100% product placement driven. The Volvo and the Bentley are just so very perfect and it's nice to see.

They really are perfect cars. I understand the need for product placement, and I don't mind it if it's handled with some creativity. (See: BREAKING BAD taking Chrysler money to promote the Dodge Challenger only to blow up said car.) But it's even better when some thought is given to these kinds of details. No, Will wouldn't drive, say, a 2013 Camaro. Where is he going to put the dogs? Of course Hannibal Lecter is going to drive a Bentley because fancy cannibal is fancy.

More evidence that the people putting together this show are really on the ball with the details. Some of the murder wizardry might be wonky, but the smaller stuff is excellent.

Hahaha, I love that scene, and I did not know that. That's awesome. Some product placement, lol. 'This is a great car! See how great it looks! Now see how great it is ON FIRE.'

The real best part? Chrysler was totally okay with them blowing up the car.

Vince Gilligan said that Chrysler knew what they wanted to do and still went ahead with the whole deal. He mentions it in this interview. It's the 5th question under the section for "Cornered."

There was more detail in either the DVD commentary for the episode or the special podcast they did when it aired.

Yeah, I love the amazing attention to details on this show. And it makes so much sense to me that Will drives a Volvo. Of course he's going to need the space for his dogs and random fishing gear! Plus, Volvos feel so homey to me because my family has always had them, precisely because of their spaciousness. By the way, just out of curiosity, are Volvos common cars in the US then?

Yeah. Edward Cullen also drives one in the Twilight books, rather hilariously. Major product placement in the movies.

Maybe that's why the dogs didn't react right away. "Oh, Foodbringer brought another one home." And then later it was "Foodbringer! The new one smells weird and we're not supposed to be under the bed!"

Hahaha, they just thought she was another stray. Of course!
