Aren't you the #1 influencer or some such on livejournal? Of course you did it. Livejournal could not contain the flurry of excitement at having a Prometheus M15M.

Something like that. Although--single user. Any ONTD spinoff, just for starters, would bury me.

Now, if it happens again when the Avengers thing goes up, we might have a working hypothesis.

There's a couple of bits I really like, and I keep going back to look at them when I feel like giving up and calling it a day. I think "footholds of absurdity" really are what's missing here. Also, the dialogue already being funny.

Haven't read it yet, but just wanted to say thanks for writing it/sharing it with us. :) I know these aren't always easy to write, and I really enjoy reading them. They always bring a smile to my face and chuckles abound when they show up. Thanks again!

Thanks. I think they've gotten harder because I have these self-imposed lists of "jokes that are too easy, do not use them," "phrases/gags you've worn into the ground," "words that are lazy." On one hand, I think that's made them better, but on the other, it means you actually have to think of something else.

Again, thank you.

EDIT: actually, now I kind of wish they had gone with the Space Jesus angle, if only to listen to them try to explain why none of the Gospels mention that He was an incredibly tall dude apparently carved out of alabaster.

I think it would be kind of cool if it turned out they had dropped some extra evolution on a few people here and there, and those people (of various faiths) had turned out to be their emissaries, and the Engineers got pissed every time something bad happened, and Jesus was just the last straw.

Why did they say 2,000 years instead of 2,100? Prometheus begins in the year 2089. It bugged me. :)
