[Still getting to grips with the Dreamberry, Cesare has been busy since his arrival, making sure his new home, a spacious villa located by Lake Meridian, is as Assassin proof as can be without a constant patrol of guards around it but now, as satisfied as one can be in this place, he's seated in a rather lavish looking living room, glass of wine in ( Read more... )

[ Ezio had been doing his best to try and avoid the Borgia like the damned plague. He wasn't in the best condition at the moment, and Somarium was not being very kind to him. Attacking now would be stupid without help, so he would just have to sit and wait, learn what he could of the other's location and plan his attack accordingly ( ... )

[The feed comes at a surprise to the Tomb Raider. The Italian accent was the first thing that caught her attention and the asking for information about the Police. That's something she has been wondering too and she had been about to ask the man to share what he's learned when he goes on about a certain Italian she's met here.

She doesn't know much about Ezio, aside that he is a rather nice handsome man it runs in the family apparently, but seeing that he is part of Altaïr's Brotherhood and that the Syrian made her see the good in his Order, the slandering grates her lightly. But nothing shows in her face or eyes, and she gives the man a well constructed surprised look]

You knew the Pope Alexander VI?

[He smirks at the feed - well hello beautiful woman, thank you for already making this a profitable endeavour - and nods.]

I am his son, Cesare Borgia, Duke of Valentinois, commander of the Papal Army. You might be?

[She raises an eyebrow slowly, her expression changing from surprised to impressed]

THE Cesare Borgia? My, I never thought I'd met such a legend in this place.

[Why, yes, she's figured out that flattery would be best appropriated with a man known for his thirst for power. Such men, at least those that she has met in her life had large egos to feed.

She smiles coyly at him.]

I am Lady Lara Croft.

[She never use her title, but she guesses the man would take importance in it.]

So you have heard of me then?

[And ostensibly good things then if she's using such words although there's something that doesn't quite sit right with him there but nevertheless he keeps smiling enigmatically at her.]

Un piacere, signora Croft.

[Hearing that someone with a title is here is definitely something that's put him in a better mood - colour him very intrigued.]

[Peach tilts her head in slight confusion. Ezio? An assassin? How could that be? he was such a sweet and nice man...]

Excuse me, are you sure Mr. Auditore is such a bad person? He looks pretty nice to me.

[Really. She never saw him hurting a fly!]

[Already there are those taken in by the Assassin. Such a shame.]

It is part of an act; Assassins will use whoever they can to gain information on their targets. I have seen the aftermath of his attacks and I saw my father after the attempt on his life - any city in Italia he passes through is plastered with wanted posters and he is the only one with the audacity to pull off such things and there are of course the witnesses.

But, I can understand how one can be taken in by such acts and the mask he wears, especially the fairer among us.

[ Oh Lady, here we go. With all the Christmas festivities, Angela had almost forgot that Ezio's arch nemesis was in town. And that she'd met him. And that if things went any certain way, the final throw-down could happen practically on her front lawn.

She'd rather that not happen. ]

Looks like you found somewhere to stay.

Si, it still isn't fully up to my standards but it is more suited to my tastes than other sources of accomodation in the city.

Unfortunately there aren't a lot of large places to live here. A few mansions from what I can tell, but most of them already have people in them.

The mansions that I have seen here are not the same as buildings that would hold a similar title in my home; the architecture is very different.

[And by different he means ugly.]

[With a stoic, watchful expression, he silently processes this information on Ezio, dismissing for a moment the fact that Cesare's looking to learn about the police force in Somarium. While Goemon doesn't really understand the Italian words punctuating this video, he can nonetheless get the gist of what's being said from the rest - and can guess that 'assassino' is related to assassin...]

[He stares back and yes, he recognises this one who 'meditated' upon a roof.]

Is there something you wanted?

Is it true? [The ronin answers the question with another evenly-delivered question. He recalls Cesare shouting invective against Ezio upon his arrival in Somarium, which would suggest that the two are obviously enemies. And if there's anything Goemon has had pointed out to him by an old friend years ago, it's that he shouldn't readily believe anything he hears without questioning it first although he still has his moments of naive foolishness anyway.]

I would not have said such things were they not true.

[Which is a lie of sorts but the information is true; Ezio has killed many in positions of authority and he made an attempt on his father's life. That's not to say that many of those men were ever good men by most standards but those details are unimportant to Cesare. And in his mind, they were good men, furthering the Templar cause.]
