Thanks! I really like that bit of dialogue too, but it almost didn't make it in because I thought it was a bit out of character for Spike to wax poetic about Buffy's past like that. Then again, I could just chalk that up to a little bit of William slipping through =)

This story was a surprise.
Your Spike showed such tenderness and understanding. Buffy's...'sense memories stirred within her'.

Thanks so much, Louise. I'm very glad you liked it and I was able to surprise you. Spike offers up some tough love here, but he really does want to see her better and happier. This was the first Spuffy fic I wrote and still probably my favorite. I guess you could say if I had a "fantasy" about how I wished the two of them interacted on the show, it would be like this.
