I just realized that, considering he calls himself "Doctor Who" and refers to the TARDIS without the definitive article, this might've been written with Peter Cushing's Doctor half in mind. Or something. I don't know. The '60s.

And yes, Ace is very much love.

They might have written this with the novelizations in mind - he was called Doctor Who in several of them, and it was especially repetitive in The Web Planet. (Or maybe they watched The War Machines?)

It really was kind of a magical moment when I discovered it. A little like buried treasure, except it's something that was deliberately hidden for others to find it.
