Why do I feel like I'm giving up?

For those of you who don't know, I went to Ohio Northern for a little over 4 years for Early Childhood Education.  I realized that A) I couldn't do it, teach that is, and B) if I tried to continue I would never graduate.  So, much to my parents' displeasure I dropped out.  Between that and other, unrelated events, it was one of the worst periods of ( Read more... )

Wow. I know how this feels so much!

I have a history degree, but that's it. And well, you can read my last entry to find out what's happening with me.

::hugs muchly:: We'll make it through. Hang in there and try to get through.

How many classes will you have left if your credits do transfer?

How many if they don't?

When I met with Dr. LaForse last quarter, which is when we discovered this problem, it looked as if I'd have to retake the math and science gen eds. I am not good in math or science. The only reason I got through it up at ONU was because it was a little less actual math and science and a little more how to teach math and science to elementary students. It wasn't really high level. I've had several people tell me not to take Math at WSU because the Math department treats everyone as engineering students. I don't remember off the top of my head how many classes if they do allow those classes through.

You weren't asking for advice, and I know it's not terribly polite to give unasked-for advice, but I'm going to do it anyway ( ... )

Okay, so I've already typed this out once but my connection went bye-bye :(

My parents were more upset that I was quitting "so far in" rather than that I was quitting teaching. My parents never pushed me or my two siblings into any one area, they just wanted us to go to and graduate from college.

As far as the culinary arts thing goes, I've never wanted to be a restaurant chef. For an externship it's fine but overall not for me. I like to cook dinner for family and myself but I'm more into making desserts and such. Eventually I'd like to decorate wedding cakes or open a little bakery. That's a way off yet though, I need to get this bit with Wright State worked out. ::sigh::
