a year ago this weekend I was in a horrible mood. I was being attacked on all sides with feelings of inadequacy, downtroddenness, and a general feeling of little self-worth ( Read more... )

The drive out 7 into vermont is amazing. Try 7 (becomes 9 across the VT border) then down 7/346 past Williamstown, MA to 2, which you can take back West and return to Troy on.

Nice on a dark lonely night. I think that's the reverse of the infamous 'palindrome' route that I almost killed Evan on.

You must have told me that story. But I can't recall the particulars of it. What did you do to Evan?

Other way around - it was a Dark and Lonely night, we the sorry pair having decided we just couldn't take any more campus and didn't so much care where we went. Out in the Truck and Evan didn't feel like driving do I was at the wheel. We both were in quiet moods, so it was quiet in the cab as we rolled through the North East. Calmy, quickly cutting a line through the dark and still of night.

Suddenly and without warning I heard a shouted warning - LOOK!!! With it a fast moving gesture of Evans hand. We were alone on the straight road. No animals. Black patch from a road repair of old. Alone. Straight road. No animals. No road issues. Scan, check, recheck. Oh, wait, that's the feeling of sudden deceleration - foot must have aggressively found the brake since I still can't find the problem.

The odometer had just turned. And become a palindrome. I don't think I've ever forgiven him for the heart attack.

LOL!! That's fantastic :-) I don't think that you ever told me that particular story, but it's a story worth telling.

I actually downloaded the mother of all nasty programs: ruckus. just so that i could try to get some more music. I should have remembered that I have phantom on these laptops, though. :-)

bunch of people came over though, and we played games. that was good.

and then andrew decided that i was tired and he needed to put me to bed.
