Sign-Up & Submit: Mod's 30 Challenge (Week 378)
In thirty days, on December 16th 2012, your moderator (that's me ^^') will officially leave her twenties behind and turn the big 3-0! Now because I am a geek and spend the majority of my 'social life' on the Internets, it only seems fitting that I celebrate this occasion here at our community with all you guys, by holding a special icon challenge XD
Depending on how early you sign up, you will have at most 30 days to make 30 CLAMP icons, just in time for them to count as my birthday present ;P The catch is that you won't be making your own claim, instead you will be selecting at least one from six possible themes* that I personally chose to represent some of my favourite things: three CLAMP specific and three general. Think of it as a birthday wishlist.
*EDIT: Since a member asked, if you wish to do multiple themes you are welcome to mix some together, as long as they are all equally present in your final set of thirty (2 Themes = 15 icons each, 3 Themes = 10 icons each, 5 Themes = 6 icons each, 6 Themes = 5 icons each). If you're looking for an extra challenge, you may also combine themes instead so that all thirty icons feature both requirements (e.g. 30 Clover icons with text, 30 Blue Yuuko icons, etc.)

THEME #1 | FAVOURITE CLAMP SERIES | CLOVER
Clover was the first manga series I purchased and my first real exposure to CLAMP's artwork, it will always hold a special place in my heart
If you choose this theme for your set, all thirty of your icons must feature official artwork from the Clover manga or anime music video. Crossover images are also allowed, but should be used in moderation only since this theme is about the series itself.

THEME #2 | FAVOURITE CLAMP CHARACTER | YUUKO ICHIHARA FROM XXXHOLIC
Yuuko is one of those females that really stands out: she's strong but sexy and not afraid to be a little bit silly
If you choose this theme for your set, all thirty of your icons must feature official artwork of Yuuko Ichihara from xxxHolic or any related crossover series. Other characters are allowed to be included, but only in moderation and as long as they don't detract focus as this theme is about the character herself.

THEME #3 | FAVOURITE CLAMP RELATIONSHIP | CHI (ELDA) & FREYA FROM CHOBITS
An unconventional pairing, but I have a fascination with twins, especially ones with such contrasting styles
If you choose this theme for your set, all thirty of your icons must feature official artwork of both Chi (Elda) & Freya from Chobits or any related crossover series. If you can make an icon that only features one of the two, but still represents the pairing, go ahead. Other characters are allowed to be included, but only in moderation and as long as they don't detract focus as this theme is about the couple themselves.

THEME #4 | FAVOURITE COLOUR | BLUE
The colour of water, of sky, of Ravenclaw, it has always been the one hue I was immediately drawn to
If you choose this theme for your set, all thirty of your icons must feature official CLAMP artwork and a predominatly blue colour scheme. Any shade of blue is fine and you may also include other colours, as long as it remains the most visually present.

THEME #5 | FAVOURITE ANIMAL | CATS
When I grow up, I want to be a crazy cat lady... I'm half way there... just need a few more cats
If you choose this theme for your set, all thirty of your icons must feature official CLAMP artwork and also be cat-related. This means that you can feature an actual cat, characters with cat ears/costumes, cat quotes, etc. combined with any other type of imagery/text as long as the overall theme is still clear.

THEME #6 | FAVOURITE GRAPHIC ELEMENT | TYPOGRAPHY
The only thing I love more than working with text on icons, is seeing what other creative stuff people do with it
If you choose this theme for your set, all thirty of your icons must feature official CLAMP artwork and have text on them. It can be anything from a single letter/number/punctuation, to a word, to a whole sentence. I'll also allow the occasional decorative or tiny text brush used on its own, but only in moderation as the focus of this theme should be on showcasing your typographical skills.
NOTE: All icons featured are taken from past results posts and special icon challenges throughout clamp_icontest's history, though I tried to mainly focus on graphics made by members who have been recently/are still currently active (submission or voting wise) as much as possible ^^' It was a lot of fun looking at all these amazing creations again :)
If you're looking for additional inspiration to make your thirty icons, you can always use the past themes we've done for various challenges as a starting point, but otherwise once you've chosen your base theme from the six above, everything else is up to you!

Sign-ups will not close, they will stay open right up until the deadline so you can join in on the fun whenever you want. However, you only have until Sunday, December 16th at 11:59 PM EST to turn in your completed set of icons, otherwise your gift will be late and I will be sad. I'll make a nice post showcasing everyone's work with links to their icon journals/communities the next day. I'll also make banners, eventually, kind of forgot about the last batch ^^' And lastly, those who are members of TCG Exchange are eligible for the standard highest submission reward: 1 Choice Card & 2 Random Cards.
So what are you waiting for? Time is a ticking and I can't wait to see what wonderful CLAMP creations you all come up with! We will be taking a break from normal challenges in the meantime, though our annual Holiday Icon Exchange will be coming up next, followed by the traditional Community Icon selection, so it's going to be a busy couple of months XD
