It begins
Construction has begun! We now have an increasing hole where our front steps & walk used to be.
In other news, I. finally figured out that clementines actually taste good if you bother to chew them. -
sweater shavers
I finally used a sweater shaver for the first time last week - i'd had one for years, but hadn't opened the package as I was worried it would eat my precious hand-knit sweaters. Then I realized I wasn't wearing my favorite since it was SO pilly, and well, if I wasn't wearing it due to pills, the risk of ruining it by cutting holes in it didn't ( Read more... ) -
Upcoming Chaos
We're remodeling our entry way, starting the beginning of next week.
We have a split level with the entry / stairs landing area being about 4ft x 8ft and having the double doors swing open into that area. It's just about enough room for 1 person to enter with bags, take off coat & shoes etc. Having more bodies than that, especially small kids who ( Read more... ) -
Mock Mousse
So last night, I was jonesing for a chocolaty, creamy dessert about 15 minuted before kid bedtime; we also had an opened pint of whipping cream in the fridge. Enter mock mousse:- Whip up some whipping or heavy cream in the mixer,

Puzzle computer games
Generally I love puzzle-type computer games [Myst, pandora's box, .
