Next time I do the book suggestions for my book club, I'm taking this list with me. I loved "Are You There God, It's Me Margaret" - it's my most favorite book. "Sundays at Tiffany's" was a great book... if you read the Reader's Digest version. =) I pass along all my books but I know where that one is if you're interested in reading it. I could send it to you. I love Kelley Armstrong's series with Paige Winterborne - "Dime Store Magic" was the first book. If you like Kelley's writing style, you will like Kim Harrison. Her Rachel Morgan series is good. Well, in my opinion. =)

Thanks for the run down!

I LOVE Kelley Armstrong's Otherworld series. They were my first foray into genre fiction as well, and they taught me that genre writers aren't the hacks I'd always been taught they were. There are lots of awesome genre series, authors, and stand alones out there. I can totally offer recommendations if you're interested.

I love Speak also. I don't usually read YA fiction, but I decided to give it a try because I'd heard such great things about it. I am not ashamed to say it made me cry.
