I'm sure you've all been expecting this blog entry:

Law is horrid.

I severely dislike it. (Annie doesn't think I should say "hate" anymore :P)

I wish I could magically take English and be happy and not have to worry about the awful bureaucracy at UoM and just not worry about my future and possible job prospects.

*sob sob sob*

and so on, and so forth.

Blogs are made for whining ruhi. Whine away.

Can't you somehow change your course? I hate how tears get you nowhere at Uni and JC.

If you want I could lend you an mp3 player. It's crappy but usable. Thing is I won't be going to Masq for the time being so, unless you want to pop over to JC ma nafx kif ha ntijulek.

Hang in there!!

ara xi hlew. U le I'm fine for now. I'll just try to make it work again.... hopefully :/

I could change course, but I don't know what I should do!! The pros and cons of everything are so complex to me, that I can hardly decide anything anymore. And time is running out, so I'm probably sticking to Law. Damn.

Thanks for comment =) hope JC is great tomorrow! xx

^ For all your House-y needs. PS, anything TV related, just ask me, I usually know where all the stuff is. I'm scarily obsessed with television >.> People who know me well can tell you stories about me and Doctor Who...

I've heard friends from Law complain last year about how boring the course can be at the beginning but apparently it does get better later on. If you are thinking about changing your course, I think you have a month's chance to do so - if you'd like I'll ask one of my lecturers for some info, they're quite hard to get hold of, they don't have many contact hours. If you get the chance you might want to speak to Dr. Ivan Callus, he's the Head of English.

But chin up: don't give up hope yet ;) xxx

*bows down in awe of your greatness*
Thanks for the link!! I owe you!

I hope Law gets better... and I'm still not sure uff. Yes they do give us till 19th Oct to change course, but I'm just so confused. What does one do with a BA in English if one does NOT want to teach/lecture? Heh. It's just that right now Law seems to guarantee a "good" job in the long run.. Urgh, I'm so undecided.

Thanks for the lovely encouragement though :)

By the way, could I ask your advice about something please?

As an optional study-unit (I can take 2 ECTS credit thingies) I was thinking about taking something from the English Department. Which would you recommend? And who are the best lecturers?

Concepts of Literature - Peter Vassallo
Romantic Poets I - Peter Vassallo
Genre - The Sonnet - Clare Thake Vassallo

I'd appreciate it A LOT =) xxxx

I would seriously go for Concepts or Romantics by Peter Vassallo. He's a lovely guy and one of my favourite lecturers. Claire Thake is sweet too, I had her for tutorials at JC, but she tends to be very laid back and doesn't give enough coursewoek. But I would advise you not to miss out on Vassallo, and his subjects are more interesting anyway. Genre is a new subject as a matter of fact so I actually have no idea what it's like o.O

Hey girl, thanks for the add, you seem like a really interesting person, and it's great to have someone else who'll understand my Malta uni rants :))

PS If you're interested in IR I'd be glad to recommend some classes to you (and tell you which ones to avoid at all costs), it's my major :))

PPS Is Prof Brincat the Italian teacher in question? :/

Thank YOU for adding me back! =)

The Italian guy is apparently Sicilian and his surname is Andò. I haven't taken his study-units, thank GOD.

Therefore, I've taken 20 IR credits.. Theory of IR, European Political History, The Med in Modern Times, and Intro to Media and Society. Are there any I should avoid? (because I haven't given the registration form in yet, hehe)

Although I might just try and change course and take BA English and History.. but I'm still torn right now...

ps. Woohoo let's rant away! ;))

Oh my God thanks so much for these tips. You are just brilliant =D

Hmm. Now I'm seriously considering English with IR!

Anyway, thanks a BUNCH :D it's lovely knowing I have someone to ask about any difficulties I have =) xxx
