She felt good about this! If Kamina thought that Simon and Gina were sweet on each other, then she was glad to play a part in helping them get together. It was awfully nice of Kamina to think of them like that.
"Hey! Can we get a picture of the giant Coca-Cola sign?" Orihime pointed at it, grinning widely over her shoulder at Kamina...who was the only one of the two that could work the camera.

"Good idea!" Kamina replied, pulling his camera from his pocket. There was no way he was going to miss taking shots of this place, all the lights and colors and advertisements were kind of mesmerizing! Now he just needed to get the pictures developed for a change, there were still shots leftover from California!

"New Years? Man that would be AWESOME!" Kamina exclaimed, clinching his fist while thinking back to the news footage they always showed of this exact area on said day. It was like one big party on the streets!, complete with music and people acting crazy, sounded like the perfect place to be for him!
"Yeah!" Kamina grinned excitedly, thrusting his finger towards the heavens in his usual manner. "Time to take NYC by storm!" By storm he meant just the two of them.

But she didn't like seeing anyone get hurt.
Every time one of those other two made a move against Kamina, she felt a fresh wave of terror wash cold over her insides. If he wound up in the hospital again, she wouldn't be able to take it.
Orihime clenched her hands into fists, steeling her courage. No way she'd let that happen. As Kamina dropped yet another thug, she lunged at her own attacker again. Thank goodness he wasn't wielding any weapons against her, she thought, jabbing with two quick punches before aiming a low kick at his knee.

"Heh, any time." Kamina whispered, also wrapping his arms around Orihime, drawing her in closer while overlooking the bodies that were strewn across the car. It gave him a slight sense of happiness to know that he was able to protect her with his own two hands but the cut on his stomach, even though it was small, told him he still had lots of work to do to make sure his victory wouldn't be a matter of question if this situation ever reared it's ugly head in the future.

Everyone else must have been out pm the town, even Simon and Gina! Hopefully they all would have better fortune on the streets than they did this night. On any other night, Kamina would have seriously excersized the idea of going back out and causing more hijinx, but after that subway brawl, rest and relaxation would be one of the first things on his mind.

As she peeled off the paper, Orihime's face began to redden. There's been something on her mind all night. Even before she realized she loved him, she'd been wanting to say it, but now that she knew, it was time to put it all out there. It shouldn't BE scary, but it was. She'd never done this before.
"Um...Kamina? There's sort of something I've been wanting to tell you for a while now...but especially now," she said, unable to meet his eyes as she focused all of her energies on placing the band-aid on just so.

"Yeah, today was pretty crazy, to bad we couldn't find tha statue. Oh well, there's always tomorrow!" Kamina said with a hopeful grin. Who knows, maybe it would turn into another grand adventure, minus the risk of losing life and limb.

"That's right!" Orihime beamed, feeling a sudden surge of excitement. If she were just a little more mindful of the surroundings, then there was really nothing to be worried about! It would be better to see the statue in the daylight anyway, so it would be all nice and green. "And we can get more hot dogs too!" They really were the best dogs she'd ever had, she was really going to miss them when they went back home.
Turning her head, she finally took note of what was showing on the TV. Had she really been that absorbed to not notice it until now? Yup! "Oh, I love these movies!" she chirped. Kung fu, explosions, AND comedy? It was a winning combination! If they'd only been able to throw in a little more romance, it would have been perfect. But there was nothing Orihime wouldn't watch if it had Jackie Chan in it.
Clasping Kamina's hand, Orihime tugged him along with a wide grin on her face, moving to take a seat on the edge of the bed. "Which one do you want to be, Lee or Carter?"
Reply
"Hmm...I'm gonna go with Carter!" Kamina immediately decided. Though Lee was more of the badass of the movie, Carter had more of the smart mouthed shenanigans that fit his persona a lot more
And speaking of hot dogs, they sounded really good right about now, or any kind of food for that matter. The last time they had eaten anything was before they got on that train, and that was hours ago, and this didn't sit well with Kamina's apatite. Just thinking about it caused his stomach to rumble in anticipation.

The protests of Kamina's stomach caught her attention, and were shortly echoed by her own once she started thinking about supper. "Heh heh!" she rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly. "They're talking to each other... OH! I KNOW!" She clapped her hands together, eyes shining. "We could order room service!" She'd always wanted to. She hadn't so far, just because it was pretty expensive, but it was something she wanted to try just once to see what it was like. "C...can I? Can I place the order? It would be so cool!"
