This was bad. Not because Orihime didn't think she could handle him, but because any distractions posed by this new threat might open up a hundred chinks in Kamina's defenses. If he turned his back on one of the others, they could end up hurting him badly, or even kill him.
She had to prove herself capable.
"Don't worry about me!" she shouted, shifting her stance to that which Tatsuki had taught her. Side turned toward the enemy, give him a smaller target to hit. Know where you're going to strike. And don't hold back! Orihime frowned at the thug and his dirty smile, poised to fight. And as he took his next step, Orihime darted forward to meet him. She swung out her hand to throw a chop at his neck, prepared to follow it up with a spin to slam her elbow into his stomach. It was a move she'd practiced many times with Tatsuki watching over her, but this was the first time she'd tried to use it on anything other than a sandbag.

Not even giving them the chance to take the first strike, Kamina went for the one that had already cut him once. He knew he'd have to be quick with this since there was already someone at his back ready to knife him at any moment.
Kamina's first swing wasn't a completely solid hit, but the fact that it connected and knocked his opponent back a bit was enough to work with. Glancing over his shoulder, in his peripheral vision he could see that the other man was comming at him with a straight stab at his back.
Quickly sidestepping, he managed to avoid being skewered and managed to catch the guys arm under his, putting him right where he had wanted him. With a quick backwards snap of his neck, Kamina's skull collided with the thugs face with a loud crack sending a shock through his system causing his knife to fall from his hand. Not being one to take chances, Kamina delivered another reverse head butt to the opponent behind him for good measure before releasing his arm allowing his unconscious body to fall to the ground.
That single move seemed to place the odds back within their favor, now there was only The man facing Orihime and the other that was still in front of Kamina, still regaining his footing.

But she didn't like seeing anyone get hurt.
Every time one of those other two made a move against Kamina, she felt a fresh wave of terror wash cold over her insides. If he wound up in the hospital again, she wouldn't be able to take it.
Orihime clenched her hands into fists, steeling her courage. No way she'd let that happen. As Kamina dropped yet another thug, she lunged at her own attacker again. Thank goodness he wasn't wielding any weapons against her, she thought, jabbing with two quick punches before aiming a low kick at his knee.

No wasn't the time for questions, the situation once again took a turn for just flat out bad, and Orihime didn't seem to notice that there was someone behind her. "Hime! Behind y-" His warning was cut short as Kamina realized he had his own business to attend to still.
Damnit he almost forgot he had someone else in front of him for a moment, still wielding a knife no less, who was well on his way to stabbing Kamina in his chest. At the last moment, he was just able to catch the mans arm before he was able to lodge the knife in his chest. The guy was strong, a lot stronger than he had thought. "Shit!" he grunted as the tip of the blade crept towards his chest as he struggled to keep it at bay.

She reacted as quickly as she could, throwing her elbow backwards as she pushed herself forward to get out of reach. Kamina's attacker had a knife, and it was getting way too close for comfort. "Kamina!!" she cried, bowling herself straight at the punk in front of her with full intentions of knocking him down. Whatever it took to get to Kamina and help him!

Then Kamina realized the severity of the situation. If he lost to this guy then what? He was her last line of defense, and there was very little chance that any of the other Great Gurren Brigade members would be able to come and assist. Then he would either be back in the hospital, or worse. Orihime would be in an even worse situation than she had been through before, in fact it would be much like what happened to May Lee. Like hell he would let that happen.
It was as if a new wave of strength had surged through Kamina's body. The man that once thought he had the blue haired youth overpowered was finding him and his blade being pushed back, slowly yet surely. "Dun think...Lord Kamina's gonna go down that easy!" With another burst of energy, Kamina managed to slam his opponents hand against the metal bar of one of the seats causing him to release his grip on the knife. Immediately after Kamina felt a heavy fist connect into the side of his face. This guy wasn't going down without a fight that was for sure but he had no intention of losing any time either.

"Kamina...!" Orihime pushed herself up, ready to leap to his aid, when she felt something suddenly seize her ankle and yank her back. She fell atop the first thug again, who had now regained enough of his bearings to snake his arms around her and pin her tightly against his chest. She looked behind her shoulder, seeing the second leering at her as he kept a tight grip on her leg. Careless--!
"Don't fly away so soon," a voice hissed hotly in her ear, sending stabbing cold through Orihime's body as she froze. A leg hooked over both of hers, and then the world spun as the man rolled over to force her to the ground. She lashed at him with her fists, struggling and bucking as he grappled with her. Finally he managed to catch both wrists and slammed them down above her head.
There was a momentary lapse in the struggle. Hungry eyes took in Orihime's face, her throat, the movements of her chest as Orihime panted for breath. And before she knew it, his lips closed over hers, grasping greedily as his hand gripped her right breast with a painful squeeze. Her cry of alarm was silenced against his mouth as he pushed his body more firmly against hers.
As for the other? He was slipping past the two now that the girl was firmly out of the way, cracking his knuckles. All they had left to do was get rid of the boy toy.

In the midst of his encounter, he had almost forgotten about Orihime, she still had to deal with those other two guys, but he doubted he she would be able to by herself. "Hime-" He barely had the chance to call out to her as he turned around before narrowly dodging another incoming fist. This was starting to get out of hand! If it kept going like this then everyone would regain consciousness and this whole thing would be back to square one.
Without hesitation, Kamina lead straight into a counter, slamming his fist into the mans gut causing him to double over. Just as he was about to deliver his finishing blow, his actions paused for a moment as he noticed one of the gang members over Orihime.
Over Orihime.
It barely took an instant to process what what was transpiring at that moment. Some low life gutter trash was trying to get overly friendly with his girl in front of him, the guy sure had balls that was for sure, but that might not be to certain after this was over with.

She heard Kamina briefly utter her name, and fought to turn her head to see him, praying to any power overhead that he was truly all right.
Orihime knew now why Axel and Roxas had been so worried about her state of mind before. There was a marked difference between then and now. Then, she was unconscious, and unaware of what she was going through and what might happen. Now, she couldn't have been more awake, aware of his grimy hand gripping her wrist, and other fondling viciously.
He broke away for a moment, realizing Kamina was now down to one. How long it would take, he didn't know. But it was clear whom he expected to win as he stopped pawing at Orihime, reaching down to start jerking up her skirt instead.

His steps pounded against the aisle as he approached final crony who had the misfortune of receiving Kamina's highest level of 'pissed off'. The man had realized that there was nothing standing between him and blue haired brawler who's eyes stared him down, burning with rage. He fumbled across the ground forgetting his fresh quarry for a moment to hopefully find a knife, or something that would help fend the boy off but it was too late for that now.
Reaching for the crown of his head, Kamina grasped a good handful of hair and began dragging the man across the floor, finally flinging him against another floor pole. At this point, the train had finally begun to move again but he barely noticed as the thug begged and pleaded to him. "Please, I'm sorry do-" his words were muffled by Kamina's boot smashing into his face.
"I dun wanna hear your fuckin sorry!" Kamina yelled as he continued to smash his foot into the mans already bloodied face. "Dun think I'm gonna show yer ass mercy with such shallow words!" With his current level of rage, it wouldn't be unlikely that he would kill the man, but perhaps he deserved it, who knows how many countless other people they may have attacked and done just even more unspeakable things to, could he just easily let people like that go?

One of the weird things about Orihime was that she didn't like seeing anybody get hurt. That included those who had hurt her.
It also included emotional injuries. Supposing Kamina got carried away, and killed this person. He might not regret it now, but in the future, he might. Orihime would do anything to prevent that from happening.
"Kamina...?"

But then he felt a gentle hand rest on his shoulder followed by a familiar voice calling his name. That was enough to snap him out of his rage and calm his racing heart down enough for him to to regain his composure, Orihime was pretty good at that even when she didn't try.
"H-Hime?" He looked down to see the shaken girl, still with tears in her sad gray eyes. "Eh? Are you OK? That bastard didn't do anythin to ya did he?" She looked OK but was she really 'OK'? He continued to see if there were any bruises or cuts or anything. Gods help them if she was hurt again.

"And...and you? Are you okay?" She knew he'd been hit pretty hard a few times, and she was unable to see if any of their knives found their mark. She raised her hand, then drew it back, fingers curled as she hesitated. Orihime firmly set her jaw, reaching out again to lightly rest her fingertips along the side of his face.

"Huh? I guess..." There was still a bit of a sting in his jaw where he had gotten punched, but other than that not much else. Kamina gave himself a quick pat down to check and see if he had received any damage. He seemed ok until he got to his midsection and winced. There was...blood? He hadn't even realized he had been cut, and there wasn't that much blood, plus he was still conscious which was always a good sign. But sure enough, upon closer inspection there was a small slit in his shirt revealing a gash about 2 inches wide. "Tch, guess those ass hats got me once."

"Maybe we should go back," she advised, lifting her gaze from the cut shirt to Kamina's face. They could see the Statue of Liberty some other time. Right now, she just wanted to make sure none of his injuries were infected.
She bit her lip, then looked down at their feet. "I'm sorry. I picked the wrong car, I should have looked closer at it...and...and thank you for..." Well. He knew.

Orihime always looked so cute when she was being overly apologetic, even if it wasn't something that could really be predicted normally, it was just one of the many things he liked about her. "Heh, dun worry about it." he said leaning against the metal pole, wiping the trails of tears from her face. "Not like you knew it was gonna happen eh?"
