So Prison Break...

May 17, 2009 18:55

This is going to be rather short because I suck at writing this kind of thing. But more than three years of fangirling... I wanted, at least, to come up with something.

Prison Break 4.21 and 4.22 )

writing: miscellanous, fangirl: vive les séries, fandom: prison break, fangirl: review

Is it me or does Lincoln actually bump Michael Jr.'s skull against the branches of the tree at the cemetary? o_O

And Michael Jr. loves it, he's all smiley and happy. Dom's a dad, he was doing dad stuff with that kid. So cute.

That's all I'll say. I loved Kellerman and Mahone/Lang. But I'm still super undecided about the rest of it, and not in a place emotionally to deal with it for now.

So I saw it right! It was cute.

*hugs*
I was spoiled so it didn't come out as a surprise (which I'm glad: not my kind of surprise), but still... *cry*

Michael was dead when Michael Jr. was born, right? Because otherwise, naming the kid after him totally creeps me out.

Same here! XD To be honest, it creeps me out anyway.

Please translate your old and fluffy fic! Now! :)

I'm not a fan of naming kid after one of their parents either, especially that kid - doesn't he have enough luggages? But giving him the name of his dying father? *cringes*
Given the dates on the tombstone, it seems that Michael was dead by then though. Not a good thing per se, but you know...

I'm on it :p

We agree mostly on the big finale. It was better than the whole of S4 so far. There was tension. There was excitement. There were surprises. There was tragedy, justice and even happy endings. I wasn't 'spoilered' (luckily, because I liked the suprises), just knew some people weren't gonna survive. One after another I saw Lincoln, Mahone, even Sucre dead. Only when the sense of an allround happy ending was in the air, I felt it could only be Michael. And then... I admit it, I cried.

..does Lincoln actually bump Michael Jr.'s skull against the branches of the tree..I must be masochistic cause I re-watched the cemetary scene a few times now, just for some details, but yes, he does bump the kid against the tree, but kind of nicely ;-) The are having fun. The scuba shop escaped me the first time, so merci for the hint. It's even called "Escape Scuba"! Awww... But where is Michael buried actually? Seems Sara was speaking Spanish when she bought the flowers ( ... )

I think the dates on the tombstone are right, amazingly enough. As far as I know, american English uses the format Month Day, Year, so here it would be Oct. 8, 1974-Nov. 11, 2005, actually making him 31 when he died. They even managed to remember *gasps* that the show was supposed to take place in 2005. It also means that the whole series happened within seven months, since it started in April 2005, which seems rather appropriate. Of course, then, I don't want to try to figure out Maricruz's (incredibly short) pregnency, since her baby was born by the beginning of S4 ( ... )

Of course you're right! I totally didn't think of that. Seems some of my ranting about the PB writers was unjustly done. *must apology to them*

...for my own sanity, I thought a lot too much about it back then :-p

So did I. But it's just like that, Fangirls pay attention to the details and uncover all those little lapses that a 'normal' viewer would just ignore. *sigh* I remember watching a 'John Doe' episode with my parents who had seen 3 seasons of PB then and liked it. Afterwards I asked "Didn't you notice a familiar face?" They: "No. Whose?" They didn't recognise Dominic Purcell until I told them! On the other hand I don't know if I want my parents to be as involved in a TV show like I am...

Maybe naming the baby after Michael was Linc's idea? Coming up with original names for kids seems to be an issue for him.He he hehehee. That must be it! *giggles ( ... )

Indeed. Not to mention that we may need it for ficcing purposes.

My mother must have a few genes of fangirl, though, because she's only seen the first season of PB, but every now and then, I get a phone call letting me know that "there's the creepy guy from Prison Break" or "there's T-Bag" on TV. I assume she was well trained :p

Old-school is good too! And I saw you posted something \o/

I hope you enjoy(ed) Star Trek!

Hi there!

Yep. I think the ending was rather well done, but I'm not happy with it and what they did with the character :( Would have definitely liked better that they kept him alive.

I'm sorry, I forgot most of the little Spanish I learnt, so I can get the gist of what you wrote, but that's pretty much it ;)
