So Prison Break...

May 17, 2009 18:55

This is going to be rather short because I suck at writing this kind of thing. But more than three years of fangirling... I wanted, at least, to come up with something.

Prison Break 4.21 and 4.22 )

writing: miscellanous, fangirl: vive les séries, fandom: prison break, fangirl: review

I think the dates on the tombstone are right, amazingly enough. As far as I know, american English uses the format Month Day, Year, so here it would be Oct. 8, 1974-Nov. 11, 2005, actually making him 31 when he died. They even managed to remember *gasps* that the show was supposed to take place in 2005. It also means that the whole series happened within seven months, since it started in April 2005, which seems rather appropriate. Of course, then, I don't want to try to figure out Maricruz's (incredibly short) pregnency, since her baby was born by the beginning of S4.

A date of birth (different from the one on the tombstone, of course) was noted on documents in the pilot, making him 27 or 28, but it was just a quick shot so it can be easily ignored. I always considered he was 31 when the series started. Why? I don't have the slighest idea. Personal canon. Somehow, maybe it made sense with LJ's age and what Sara told him about her graduating two years after him. Anyway... for my own sanity, I thought a lot too much about it back then :-p

Just like for Sara's 'death', I'm glad I was spoiled because that particular surprise - Michael's death - was not to my taste.

Maybe naming the baby after Michael was Linc's idea? Coming up with original names for kids seems to be an issue for him, and they "weren't going to call him Aldo", right? *g*
I agree with you, it seems he was already dead when the baby was born.

Yes, it looks like Michael's buried in Central or South America. Something else the movie should explain, I guess. Now, is Sara actually living here too or did she picked up a bit of Spanish because she visits on a regular basis...?

My translating is a way to cope. Just in case... not a Michael/Lincoln story. Well, it partially is, but not of a slash kind ;) It's a post-series fic, but I wrote it mid-season 2, so of course, all crappy storylines all the recent events are ignored.

hopefully I'll finish my new one soon that was born out of a certain mother/brother/not-brother-annoyance.

*is supportive* I'm not sure I can or want to write about it for now, but I'm glad to know you're tackling the issue.

Of course you're right! I totally didn't think of that. Seems some of my ranting about the PB writers was unjustly done. *must apology to them*

So did I. But it's just like that, Fangirls pay attention to the details and uncover all those little lapses that a 'normal' viewer would just ignore. *sigh* I remember watching a 'John Doe' episode with my parents who had seen 3 seasons of PB then and liked it. Afterwards I asked "Didn't you notice a familiar face?" They: "No. Whose?" They didn't recognise Dominic Purcell until I told them! On the other hand I don't know if I want my parents to be as involved in a TV show like I am...

He he hehehee. That must be it! *giggles*

Oh, and thanks for supprting my muse, but I'm not tackling the mentioned issue with my new fic. I just wanted to write something completely different to get these annoying pics out of my head. It's going to be very old-school and canon-free.

See ya!

PS: Tomorrow I'm finally going to see Star Trek!!! *is excited*

Indeed. Not to mention that we may need it for ficcing purposes.

My mother must have a few genes of fangirl, though, because she's only seen the first season of PB, but every now and then, I get a phone call letting me know that "there's the creepy guy from Prison Break" or "there's T-Bag" on TV. I assume she was well trained :p

Old-school is good too! And I saw you posted something \o/

I hope you enjoy(ed) Star Trek!
