Finally, I can tell the good news I hinted about a while back. My story, "The Fortuitous Meeting of Gerard van Oost and Oludara" is going to be published in Brazil by Devir Livraria! Here's the cover:
It will be a pocket-sized book with two novelettes: mine, and "A Travessia" ("The Crossing") by well-known Brazilian author and editor Roberto de Sousa Causo. The book is entitled Heroic Fantasy Duo because both novelettes are Heroic Fantasy (Sword & Sorcery) tales. It is part of a new collection being launched, along with a book entitled Cyberpunk Duo featuring "Bicycle Repairman" by Bruce Sterling and "Vale-Tudo" ("Everything Goes"), also by Roberto de Sousa Causo.
I couldn't imagine a better partner than Devir for a launch like this. They publish books, RPGs, graphic novels, board games and minatures. They are the official distributor for Magic and Dungeons & Dragons in Latin America, Spain and Portugal. How cool is that? I am in nerd heaven.
