O.O at the beginning, when they used the line "all of this has happened before and all of this will happen again" i thought about time loops. but it wasn't XD
it aches to see them struggle everytime, trapped in tragedy as the worlds fell apart, and it's never an easy love =(

I knew you could do it! I see why you needed the 500 though. The feeling of the fic wouldn't be quite as powerful once cut down. You created that again and again feeling that is slowly driving Bill and Laura and us over the edge with the tragedy of it. If that makes any sense.

The entire piece is so powerful, but this section completely flayed me:

He is a priest. She is a queen. She rules an army; he listens as she confesses her sins and washes the blood off her hands when she’s done. He paves the way into heaven for her and they make love on the altar. He muffles her screams with his palm so God won’t hear.

Truly an amazing bit of writing.

That was absolutely haunting.

This idea really struck me and will stick with me:

Merely a blip in their eternity, but they are unaware. It is all new: they meet for the first time, they fall in love, they die over and over. They ache together and break together. They make love a million times. They fuck a million more. Time again and time again. From the beginning.

That they remain unaware makes me sad and happy at the same time--how did you manage that?
