There's a new campaign to stop teenage girls being beaten up by their teenage boyfriends after a report came out saying 25% of teenage girls are victims of violence.

It sucks!

Ok, trying to phrase this carefully so you don't end up feeling like I've snarled at you.

Totally understand why you posted it, totally agree with the sentiment...but...as an abuse survivor finding it on my LJ just gave me a very unpleasant couple of minutes to say the least and I'm really pretty good at dealing with that kind of thing. Maybe pop it behind a cut with a small warning? 'Cause I'm probably not the only person on your F-list who's been there...

yeps - totally with you on the lack of blue ribbons for sale at the supermarket check out, corporate sponsored fun-runs, celebrities wearing t-shirts to raise awareness of male cancers. *shhhhh* maybe it'll go away if we don't mention it...thanks for the links. I hadn't seen those before ( ... )
