I like the idea of an "Ultra Mode" instead of upping all the minimum specs for the new release. I'm buying a new desktop in the next couple months that will have a much better video card, but I don't want to have to have the top of the line card just to get my CoX fix.

Yeah, Ultra Mode sounds pretty sweet, especially for laptops or other systems that can't upgrade the video card. I want to play new content on my 4-year old laptop too! Though I might just break down and buy a gaming laptop :P

yeah, forgot to mention that it can be turned off and on as needed so you don't have to upgrade video cards and comps but after seeing it, I will definitely be turning it *on* at all times

I've heard rumors of some kind of "neutral" class that might go along with the new start area. Let us know if you hear anything about that.

Posi said that when you start a new character, you'd be able to pick "Hero", "Villain", or "Praetorian."

If you choose Praetorian, you would go through an arc and eventually either pick Rogue (Villain) or Vigilante (Hero). Rogues and Vigilantes will have access to both the Rogue Isles and Paragon City.

No word yet on any kind of completely neutral AT.

Will the VEATs/HEATs be able to be Praetorians?

I'd say "doubtful, for story reasons," but there are also fairly good reasons why Kheldians would exist in the Praetorian universe, too. Thing is, Recluse is a whole lot different on the other side of the mirror.
