[the feed comes on to Viral, looking up at him as he looms over one of the frozen bots. One of the plates had been removed, however much more delicately then his previous robot 'autopsy'. In fact he's not even touching the interior of the thing, just observing it looking rather perplexed ( Read more... )

[He chuckles] Are they easier to take apart when they aren't wriggling about?

If I'm honest... I'm surprised you found any. What with the way things are disappearing around here.

It's unnerving anyway you look at it. I've already begun making preparations for a worse case scenario. I recommend you do the same.

[He gives one more disappointed look at the innards of the robot and sighs, putting the plate back on]

I can't determine what went wrong with them, if anything.

Already doing it.

I went for a look around satuday, and found nada. And now that other objects are disappearing... [He shakes his head] I get the feeling that S.A.M.M won't be saying anything ono the matter, either.

On another note: ....did you see the gun thing? What was with that?

Figures.

[He takes a seat on the bot]

The weapon is what I can guess is some sort of highly advanced particle beam. It depends really, on whether the liquid inside it was being used as a coolant, or actually had something to do with the offensive capability. I've never seen anything like it.

So it's not normally like this?

No, these things are supposed to move!

[And with that Viral gives the bot an irritated kick. He couldn't figure out exactly what was wrong with it.]

[He looks at the bot, curiously.]

If they're all connected to and run from the same main system, something must've happened.

What I would like to know is whether it was deliberate or forced.

[Viral puts the plate back on the bot and takes a seat on it]

So far it seems that everything keeps disappearing. There's no reasons behind it yet but one can assume...

[And she's more curious by the fact he knows technology.]

Do you recognize this world in their technology?

Re: Video; meat_cleavage March 25 2011, 14:27:13 UTC
Bits and pieces. It's a bit more advanced then the what I'm used to, but all technology must share basic components in order for it to work.

[He sits back from the bot looking frustrated, and runs his clawed hand over his head with a sigh]

Unfortunately, it's not enough to pin down the exact reason for their failure.

[Clawed hands? Yeah, Hermione has seen too many strange creatures to think anything about it.]

Any theories? At this point, I feel guesses is all we can have for not.

[Oh... she's NOT staring at him like he was a freak? Well that's new]

Either the main computer purposefully shut them down or there has been some sort of error. Mechanically there doesn't appear to be anything wrong as far as I can tell.

I'd say the city is going to shits but, that's probably not true. Found anything in that cadaver there?

Nothing of significance. I can't determine whether these things were shut down by the main program, or if they somehow all malfunctioned from something external. All I know is that they look fine mechanically as far as I can tell.

Well, that blows. We're back to zero, then.

[He sighs and hangs his head shaking it]

More or less, yes. Either way the machine could be weak enough to have some sort of weak-point exposed. I would keep an eye out if I were you.

[She watches him for a few moments]

Do you know how these things work? And any guesses I had are disappearing as quickly as.. well everything.

I know my way around mechanics, this is a bit more advanced then what I'm used to, but I know enough to get the basic idea on how they work.

[He sighs]

I'm not much better, just some theories that probably won't be proven until it's too late.

You know much more about them then I do then.

[she nods]

I'm starting to wonder myself when we'll disappear. At this point it seems inevitable, but there's still no answer as to why. They have us here already, what is the point of pulling things one by one?

I was a pilot of a mech I customized myself back in my world. I've been trained to make repairs as well.

I doubt it's after us this time. This seems to be a tactic to conserve power.
