My id apparently wants me never to stop doing these. More of a discussion this time, though, because I had more trouble deciding some of these roles, and I think if you changed some of them round (which you could very reasonably do) then the whole feel of the cast would change, too. Also I am rubbish at thinking of actresses, it took me forever to ( Read more... )

I really liked your genderswapped casting, but OH MY GOD, your people of color genderswapped casting made me SO HAPPY. I can't even begin to tell you how much I want to see this movie.

And omg Sacha Dhawan as Cottia made my LIFE. *__________*

Thank you so much! :) Yeah, that is the slightly sad thing about these hypothetical exercises -- these movies will never get made! But in my head they would be so epic.

Sacha Dhawan <3 The other candidate for POC!boy!Cottia was Noel Clarke, but I just prefer Sacha somehow -- maybe because he seems more innocent?

Also lkasjdlkfj this is so embarrassing but it's epic to get feedback from you because I have been creepily lurk-reading your Eagle RPF over the last couple of days. What I've read so far is amazing. Would you mind if I friended you(r rather marvellously Pictsie-named journal)?

Friend away! I am always pleased to meet people who get the reference in my username. :D

And Eagle RPF, fffff. I keep pretending I'm not writing it, but I totally am. I am so glad you are enjoying it. ♥

OK, added you! I don't think I actually know any other Wee Free Men fans (apart from my mum!), so hurray!

Haha, RPF can be such a guilty pleasure. Speaking of which, off I go to continue reading yours... Save a seat for me in the special hell, will you? ;)

Was there a ginger girl in the amphitheatre scene of The Eagle who put her thumb up and got other people to do the same? I thought there was.

I believe there was! And I shall now believe her to be Cottia.

I've only seen it once, in the cinema, but I really did think there was a Cottia-type person. Maybe Kevin Macdonald put her in as a little nod to the bits of the book the film had to leave out, or maybe (as I'm assuming it was with Cradoc?) they filmed more of her but it didn't make the final cut... Either way, I like to imagine Cottia being there, even if we don't get to see her and Marcus meeting.

I think more likely a nod to the book, but even if not intentional, I shall take it that way.
