First update in months
This is my first LJ update in months, and it's likely to be the last for months, if not ever. I hardly ever use LJ any more. Why? Because, since discovering Facebook and Twitter, I've discovered very little I can say in hundreds of words that I can't say in a few.

It’s a sprawl. A vast urban monstrosity that stretches along the New South Wales coast from Newcastle to Wollongong, and as far to the west as the Blue Mountains.

Had this conversation with my friend over Facebook yesterday. I think it's one of the strangest and most amusing chat sessions I've had in some time. Because I know he'll probably see this and get annoyed, his actual name has been replaced with "Gobshite", for my own amusement.

For the new exhibitions, a design company are involved in taking photos and doing some short films.
Today, I am the only member of my section at work. Everybody else is off at a conference or not in on Fridays.

So the actress Natasha Richardson died after a horrible skiing accident.
Very tragic for the family and the sort of thing you would hope the media would cover with sensitivity to the fact that someone has died.
