"Barely worth workin' up a sweat. Did you see? Second they announced my name half the shelf took off and called it quite!" Laughing, Kuronue thumbed his nose and folded his wings tightly behind him, his posture easy and relaxed. There were still lingering whisps of smoke that circled his knuckles in places like rings that refused to evaporate.

The pendant he used to channel his youki for such attacks was back around his neck, gleaming red against a bared chest.

He grinned and braced both hands on his hips, chin tilting up at a roguish angle. Hell, he felt like he could walk on water at the moment. Which he probably could, if there was a strong enough headwind or he could call the youki to hover long enough.
