I'm still shocked that it is a relationship. The funny thing is that it's come just in time for this crazy cat lady phase. The Italian likes to say, "If you didn't have me you'd be a full blown cat lady." I can just just imagine what's going to happen when Abby has this second litter. I'm imagining another 3 (or more) mouths to feed. And I'm in a tiny apt (that doesn't allow pets). But anyway...yes I'm trying to enjoy the relationship now. We've been fighting for the last week, but I think it's because we're both adjusting to this change in status in different ways. He has an unreasonable fear that I'm going to cheat on him and break his heart now that's he's open it up. And I have an unreasonable fear of being loved and thus being hurt again. So every time he tells me he loves me, I take a step back and he worries I'm going to leave. We'll figure it out, I'm sure.
