IA the ending was rushed and they didn't give Edward enough dialogue. But Robward was SO hot and perfect as Edward...the breakup and Bella's depression was so well done. <3
The audience in my theatre was fail, though, they were all creaming themselves over Jacob's muscles. UGH. Little boys on roids don't really do much for me, no thanks...
LOVED Bella telling Edward to shut UP. Because, for real, dude needs to shut it already, and he needs to take Bella seriously as an equal, not, as Laurent said, his pet.
Bonus: I love how you can see everyone's flaws so much more clearly in this movie than in the books. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like on film, we see how very selfish Bella actually is, how much of a betrayal Alice's long absense was, how self-centered Edward is (with his "Why are you doing this to me?" idiocy), and how Jacob is really not that much different than Edward about not wanting to let Bella make her own damn decisions.
I agree!!!chelleybellNovember 21 2009, 06:32:50 UTC
Holy crow - the emails! Loved them and the mailer demon returns. *sob* If you noticed Bella never deleted one - the original message is still attached. All I could think was "FANFIC TIME!" What if Edward accessed her email client? Jeez... I think the angsty glory of it would kill me.
I LOVED NEW MOON! It was so good and i;m glad i wasn't the only one to realize how good they did with the dialogue. word-for-wrod, my dear. (except for poor edward) I agree whole heartedly with everything you said, for real. It was amazing. And I LOVED ALICE! "once you put the dog out..." BAhahhahahaha
oh Alice *sigh* I love you.
I freaking bawled when it started the "october...november...december..." thing and when Bella looked all broken and dead and depressed at school and just sitting there at home and Charlie getting all worried. Oh man! And did ANYONE notcie that Bella started sitting in EDWARD'S seat at the CULLENS'S table at lunch? When I noticed that, it broke me. :(
I love your review of it. I felt terrible when Edward hung up (crushed into tiny pieces) the phone in Rio. Agh!
