Clue is one of my favorite movies and has been since I was a kid! An all-star cast! The super-cool mansion! I've watched it tons of times and it's one of the first DVDs I ever bought when I upgraded VHS to DVD.

I know, I would LOVE that house. AS IS. I wouldn't change a thing. Maybe add a masseur or masseuse. LOL

"Mrs. Peacock was a man?!" *smack* *smack*

I love Clue so much. I watched it a million times during my formative years. :)

Me too. What is weird is I haven't seen it since...Let's see, I'm 33...I'd say 20 years.

And when Mrs. Peacock does that long chatterbox delivery at the table, I knew it word for word "..but I am DETERMINED to enjoy myself and oh my, very intrigued, and this soup's delicious, isn't it??"

And I looked at Y. and said, 'I swear, I haven't seen this probably since I discover Rocky Horror in '91/'92' but as one overpaid Canadian once sang "but it's all coming back to me now..."

"I hated her SOOOOO much...that it flamed..FLAMES..on the side of my face....flames..heaving, breathless...heaving flames...."

LOL

Hahaha!! "I'm going to go home and sleep with my wife!" *cue music*

That Madeline Kahn bit is so stinking funny, too. She was so brilliant. It's funny how things like that stick with you. I can't remember four things to get at the grocery store without a list, but I can perform Tim Curry re-enacting the series of murders for the guests with perfect cadence despite not having seen it for years. "Picked up the dagger... rrrrun down the hall!"

And speaking of Eileen Brennan, did you ever see Murder By Death? She's hilarious in that, as well.

Looooooooove this movie! This was one of the five movies I'd watch at least once every weekend growing up, along with The Three Amigos, The Sound Of Music, Top Gun, and Star Wars (I'm including the entire original trilogy as one). And um, possibly Masters Of The Universe. (So cheesy, yet so right.)

Did you happen to see Psych's 100th episode, "100 Clues"? It was a dead-on tribute to Clue and reunited almost the entire main cast. Except for Tim, who'd already guested in Season 2.

No, we haven't gotten to watch Psych yet, but it's on our list... cinematixyz June 16 2013, 22:05:50 UTC
And don't worry..Y. was a he-man fave as a lad((I may not get a cuddle tonight for telling you that))

When I was a little girl and had the flu, I stayed with my great Auntie and Uncle. They were the age of grandparents and substituted as our grandparents. Anyway, in the 80s they only owned like 10 or 12 movies, all of which my brother, father, or I got them but 'The Sound of Music' and 'Gone with the Wind' were the two long ones that required two tapes so she would put one of those in and get me comfy on the couch with my tissue box and some hot cocoa.

So now, both films make me think of them, I can feel her wrinkled little hands feeling my forehead for fever and him sneaking me candies and tucking in my blankets. Good Memories. I miss them both so much but both movies I will sit through and it's like I can feel them on their twin arm chairs behind me. =)

The live action movie with Dolph Lundgren was such a guilty pleasure. I guess it still is!

My parents were huge fans of The Sound Of Music, to the point that for their own wedding they even played the intro music that comes right before the nuns do the Maria reprise. I used to wrap a blanket around me, like a train, and parade across the hallway from my bedroom and down the staircase every time that scene came on.

Oh my god this movie, always fun to watch and a good way to spend a night. Mrs. White is certianly in the top 3 of favorites from this movie. Tim Curry of course. But I was also very fond of Ms. Peacock; that could stem from her hot-mama-ness though.
