Jacob & I decided a weekend getaway would be the best way to celebrate his Birthday. First we went to Port Clinton, OH. There was a drive thru safari, which was a lot of fun. ENGAGEMENT: Jacob proposed on November 16, 2009, on our 8 month anniversary. He took me to Greek Town. We went to the casino, Pizza Papalis, and then to Astoria Pastry Shop where he had my ring designed into a cake. He proposed to me once I noticed the cake.

For my birthday Jacob & I went to TN to sight see and visit his mother and 1/2 brother. It was a good time. We saw a lot of places from Jacob's younger years, hung out with his family and friends and went to Gatlinberg on my birthday. I am having a combined birthday with my aunt on 9-19-09 at 2pm. I started studying for the social work licensing exam for about 1.5 hours today. This sucks! The study guide suggested studying for 2 hours per day for at least a month before the exam. Camping with Katherine, William, Jacob, Kevin and Bridget went well. We did some canoeing and Jacob and I flipped twice. It was kinda scary, frustrating and funny at the same time. The 2nd flip i was ready to just complete the trip floating on my back.

So today is June 1st. Does it ever get warm in Michigan? I think I need to move to the South where it is warm more than one month per year. I already did enough moving away from my family and friends when I moved to the upper peninsula, so that probably won't happen ( Read more... )
