Lately I find myself drawn to music, clothing, television, etc. from the mid-to-late 70's and early 80's.

Bell bottoms, sweatshirts with farm animal picture scenes on them, leather fringe, "wings" in the hair, headbands... the Bee Gees, Saturday Night Fever, Creedence Clearwater Revival, ABBA... old reruns of game shows like Press Your Luck and ( Read more... )

I LOVE THAT KITCHEN!!! OMG it looks almost exactly like how I remember the first house I ever lived in. THAT FLOOR IS AWESOME!

Yep, that's what I think, too... the world just seemed simpler. I'm sure it wasn't. I'm sure there are 50- and 60-somethings today who look back on those times and remember how hard it was. Not for me though. :)

And OMG cartoons only on SATURDAY! TEH HORRORZ!!

Pop Music was just better in the 70s/80s. Says me who's born in 83. :)

I get nostalgia about old computer/video games a lot, in the same way.

I do too! Just the other day I bought a "new" version of all the King's Quest games, lol! It's not really new, just re-done so it can work on the newer computers. OMG it brought back memories, but wow... I can't believe I thought those graphics were good, lol!!

I also want to get me some Leisure Suit Larry. Good times. :D

Awesome. :D I remember all the old Sierra games.. I prefered LucasArts' ones though, did you play any of those? Point'n'Click adventure games need to make a return!

What computers/consoles did you use back then?

Oh gosh, I don't even remember, lol. I do remember when I had a 4X CD-rom installed and replaced my 2X! And then the 8X came out and I was all like, whoa. :D
